Changeover
The booking time should be from when the event starts to when it finishes. Please leave 30-60 minutes between bookings to allow for changeover. You will not be charged for the changeover.
Sunday Bookings
Any bookings on a Sunday require the bookings secretary to check with the Vicar before approving. In general Church House is unavailable on a Sunday morning before noon unless the booking is to do with the church and service.
Bookings during library times
Church House is leased to Oxfordshire County Council during library times. The bookings secretary is not authorised to make bookings during library times without the approval of the librarian. Please check with the librarian for approval before contacting the bookings secretary about booking Church House during library times.
Charges
We charge a flat rate for each morning, lunchtime, afternoon and evening session of one to three hours:
A reduced rate is available for regular users of Church House.
- Main Church House: £20 Standard Rate / £40 Commercial Rate
- Gallery Meeting Room: £20 Standard Rate / £40 Commercial Rate
A reduced rate is available for regular users of Church House.
Equipment
Tables and chairs are available for the main hall. A projector and screen can be provided. Please give your requirements when making your booking.
Insurance
Church House has Public Liability Insurance but this only covers liability for damage caused by some defect in the building or premises but doesn't cover accidents which are the fault of those renting the building. Examples - Church House would be liable if someone tripped over a paving stone that was sticking up but not if someone tripped with a boiling kettle and burnt another and the fault was nothing to do with the state of the premises. This means events organisers should have their own insurance.
